The Ford Maverick continues to prove that big success can come in a compact package. During the third quarter of 2025, Maverick sales increased across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, reinforcing its position as one of Ford’s strongest-performing nameplates worldwide.

In the United States alone, Ford Maverick deliveries reached 34,848 units in Q3 2025, representing a nine percent increase over the same period last year. Year to date, Maverick sales climbed nearly 11 percent to 120,904 units. Those numbers are especially impressive given that the compact pickup segment itself only grew six percent during the quarter.
When compared directly to its lone competitor, the Hyundai Santa Cruz, the Maverick’s dominance becomes even clearer. For every Santa Cruz sold in the U.S. during Q3 2025, Ford sold more than five Mavericks. The Maverick captured an overwhelming 84 percent share of the compact pickup segment, while Santa Cruz sales declined more than 11 percent year over year.

The Maverick’s success does not stop at its own segment. The compact pickup also outsold several body-on-frame midsize trucks, including the Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Nissan Frontier. In fact, Maverick sales were more than double those of the Ranger, its larger sibling, and exceeded the combined sales of GM’s midsize pickup duo.
A key driver behind this momentum is the Maverick’s ability to attract new buyers. Ford reports that roughly 60 percent of Maverick customers are new to the brand, many coming from compact cars and crossovers such as the Honda Civic, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4. Hybrid models accounted for a majority of Maverick sales in Q3 2025, highlighting the strong demand for affordable, fuel-efficient trucks.
With the refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick adding SYNC 4, hybrid all-wheel drive, updated styling, and the introduction of the performance-focused Maverick Lobo, the compact pickup shows no signs of slowing down. As Ford continues to refine the Maverick lineup and prepare for future updates, it remains one of the most compelling truck options on the market today.
