The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is bringing more than just rugged good looks and trail-ready features—it’s also delivering improved fuel economy over the 2024 model. Thanks to refinements under the hood and updated engineering, this refreshed compact SUV now boasts slightly better EPA-estimated fuel ratings, giving drivers more miles per gallon without compromising performance or capability.
Under the hood, the 2025 Bronco Sport offers two engine options. The standard turbocharged 1.5L EcoBoost I3, which powers trims like Big Bend, Outer Banks, Heritage, and Free Wheeling, now achieves an estimated 25 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 27 mpg combined—an increase from last year’s 26 mpg combined. The available Sasquatch Package also pairs with the 1.5L engine but returns slightly lower efficiency at 24 mpg combined.
Buyers looking for more power can opt for the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost I4 engine, which remains unchanged from the 2024 model in terms of fuel efficiency. This engine, available on the Badlands and Badlands Sasquatch trims, delivers 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. While not as fuel-efficient as the 1.5L variant, it brings extra muscle for more demanding off-road adventures.
Beyond powertrain improvements, the 2025 Bronco Sport marks the first significant refresh of the model. It features design updates inside and out, a new Sasquatch Package for select trims, and updated color choices—swapping out three previous exterior paints for two fresh new options. Production for this latest iteration kicked off in November 2024 at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico, making the 2025 Bronco Sport a strong contender for those seeking style, efficiency, and versatility in one compact SUV.
