FordPass continues to redefine what it means to stay connected to your vehicle. What started as a convenient way to remote-start your car or schedule maintenance has now grown into one of the most popular mobile vehicle apps in North America. According to Ford’s President of Integrated Services, Mike Aragon, the FordPass app now boasts an incredible 12 million monthly active users – a number that continues to climb each year.

During a recent fireside chat with Goldman Sachs, Aragon highlighted how FordPass has evolved from a simple utility into a powerful digital bridge between drivers and their vehicles. “Sometimes customers are just using it to lock or unlock their doors, sometimes they’re checking diagnostics – that’s okay,” Aragon said. “It means they’re active.”
Beyond convenience, FordPass plays a key role in how Ford communicates with owners. Through the app, drivers can receive service reminders, vehicle health alerts, and even offers for upgrades like BlueCruise hands-free driving. Aragon noted that FordPass serves as an important path for customers to explore new connected services and enhance their ownership experience.

The app’s success is backed by industry recognition as well. In the 2025 J.D. Power U.S. OEM EV App Report, FordPass ranked fourth among all mass-market automotive brand apps, earning a score of 794 out of 1,000. That places it just behind MyHyundai (820), Kia Access (808), and Mini (797), but well above the segment average of 712. The ranking reflects strong user satisfaction and growing trust in Ford’s digital tools.
Since its early days, FordPass has seen explosive growth – from 1.3 million active users to 2.4 million in 2020, and 8 million by the end of 2021. Now, with 12 million drivers using it monthly, the app’s adoption rate sits at an impressive 91 percent.
For Ford owners, FordPass isn’t just an app – it’s a smarter, simpler way to stay in sync with their vehicles, wherever the road leads next.
