The Ford Ranger continues to solidify its reputation as a global powerhouse in the mid-size pickup segment. According to newly released data from JATO Dynamics analyst Felipe Munoz, the Ford Ranger was the fourth best-selling pickup truck on the planet in 2024. With 386,900 units sold worldwide, the Ranger also earned a spot among the top 10 best-selling vehicles overall, proving its appeal across a wide range of markets.
The global pickup segment remains fiercely competitive, with the Toyota Hilux leading the pack at 616,200 units sold. Close behind was the Ford F-150, which delivered an impressive 594,100 units globally. Chevy’s Silverado came in third with 418,300 sales, just ahead of the Ranger. Interestingly, Ford managed to land another vehicle on the global top-10 list with the heavy-duty F-250 Super Duty taking the tenth spot, reinforcing the brand’s strength across all truck segments.
While the Ford Ranger may be relatively new to the U.S. market compared to its international presence, it still played a meaningful role with 46,205 units sold in the U.S. alone—around 12% of its total global volume. That figure reflects a 42.9% year-over-year increase from 2023, highlighting strong consumer demand following its full redesign for the 2024 model year.
With bold styling, advanced tech, and a reputation for rugged dependability, the 2024 Ford Ranger has clearly resonated with drivers around the world. Whether tackling job sites, weekend getaways, or off-road adventures, it’s no wonder the Ranger is one of the most trusted and sought-after pickups on the global stage.
