The California Special is one of the most recognizable Mustang nameplates, dating back to the first generation of the iconic pony car. After returning to the gas-powered Mustang lineup for the 2024 model year, the heritage-inspired package is now expanding into the electric era with the debut of the 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT California Special.

This new variant brings California Special styling cues to Ford’s performance EV crossover, blending modern design with classic Mustang flair. Like its coupe counterpart, the Mach-E GT California Special features Rave Blue accents throughout, including the wheels, grille, exterior badging, and interior trim, along with updated California Special script rendered in a bold, modern font.
The Mach-E version adds several unique design elements of its own. These include exclusive 20-inch Carbonized Gray wheels with GT/CS logos and gloss black aero covers, an illuminated Rave Blue pony emblem mounted in the grille, and a distinctive hood graphic inspired by California’s coastline, layered in shades of gray, blue, and black.

Inside, the cabin receives a custom look with Navy Pier ActiveX and Miko-upholstered performance seats, accented by reflective blue and silver striping. Matching Navy Pier ActiveX material extends to the center console and steering wheel, while silver and blue detailing continues onto the floor mats, tying the interior theme together.
Performance remains firmly in GT territory. The 2026 Mustang Mach-E GT California Special is powered by dual electric motors producing 480 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, while offering an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles.
The California Special package adds $2,495 USD to the Mach-E GT’s base MSRP of $53,395 USD. Order banks for the full 2026 Mustang Mach-E lineup open on October 22, with deliveries expected to begin in Q1 2026.
