The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E continues to earn praise in the electric vehicle market, securing a spot on Consumer Reports’ list of the Best EVs of 2025. While the Mach-E hasn’t yet received a full mid-cycle refresh, its latest updates have proven more than enough to keep it competitive in the hotly contested two-row EV crossover segment.

Consumer Reports gave the Mustang Mach-E an overall score of 68, tying it with the Nissan Ariya and placing it just behind the Tesla Model Y, which scored a 73. The Mach-E stood out for its strong road test results and predicted owner satisfaction, proving once again that it remains a solid choice for EV buyers in 2025.
Among its highlights, the Mach-E offers useful cargo space, an impressive 299 miles of real-world range with the extended battery, and agile handling that makes it fun to drive. CR also praised the quiet, quick acceleration and highlighted Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving system as a standout feature. Charging performance at home was also noted as a strong point, making the Mach-E convenient for daily use.

That said, Consumer Reports did note areas for improvement, including the large infotainment screen’s steep learning curve, with too many controls buried within digital menus, and a somewhat “jittery” ride on rougher road surfaces. Even so, the Mach-E remains a top pick in the EV crossover category, proving Ford’s commitment to blending performance, technology, and practicality in its all-electric lineup.
