A recent YouTube video from “State of Charge” highlighted the impact of this OTA update, which increased the F-150 Lightning’s charging amperage from 450 to 500 amps. A 2022 F-150 Lightning, charged from 10 to 80 percent, saw its charging time decrease from approximately 43-45 minutes to 39.5 minutes. While this might seem like a minor improvement, those few minutes can make a significant difference during long road trips.
