The 2026 Ford Bronco Sport continues to deliver trail-ready capability, but one previously bundled off-road feature is now being offered a little differently. For the new model year, the Bronco Sport’s fender-mounted tie-downs are no longer automatically included within certain off-road packages. Instead, they are now available as a standalone option for buyers who want them.

Previously, the fender tie-downs were bundled into the Black Diamond Off-Road Package and Sasquatch packages on select trims. For 2026, those tie-downs can still be added, but they now come at an additional cost of $495 USD. There is an important detail, however: buyers must still select the corresponding package before they can add the tie-downs, as they cannot be equipped independently.

For example, Big Bend models require the $1,895 USD Black Diamond Off-Road Package before the tie-downs can be selected. Outer Banks trims must first add the $3,860 USD Sasquatch Outer Banks Package, while Badlands models require the $2,495 USD Sasquatch Badlands Package. The cost of the tie-downs is not included in those packages and must be added separately.

Beyond the tie-down adjustment, the 2026 Bronco Sport sees a few additional equipment changes. Certain items previously included in the Black Diamond package are now optional, while features such as the wireless charging pad, rain-sensing wipers, and universal garage door opener have been removed from the options list. On the technology front, the eight-inch center display is now standard on Big Bend, Heritage, and Outer Banks trims, with the larger 12.3-inch screen reserved exclusively for the Badlands.

While some buyers may notice the shift in packaging, the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport still offers a wide range of customization options. By separating certain features into standalone selections, Ford is giving customers more flexibility to tailor their Bronco Sport to their specific needs, whether that means prioritizing off-road gear or focusing on everyday convenience.
