2026 Ford Maverick Updates: No More Black Ovals, But New Colours and Features

The 2026 Ford Maverick arrives with several subtle but noteworthy updates following its 2025 refresh. While the compact pickup retains its versatile charm and capability, one of the most visible changes is the removal of black Ford ovals as a factory-installed option.

In prior years, blacked-out ovals were standard on Maverick Lobo and Tremor trims and part of the Black Appearance Package on XLT and Lariat models. For 2026, however, all trims – including XL, XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor – will feature the traditional blue Ford oval. While this styling option is gone from the factory, buyers can still purchase a Smoked Chrome Ford oval set through Ford Performance.

The 2026 Maverick is also gaining exciting new exterior paint options, including Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat and Marsh Gray, adding more personality to the lineup. On the tech side, every trim comes with a complimentary one-year subscription to the Ford Connectivity Package, with the option to extend coverage up to seven years. This ensures drivers can enjoy connected navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot access, and enhanced digital features.

Other updates include changes to equipment availability: the power-sliding rear window is no longer standard on Lariat and Tremor trims, helping reduce starting prices, but remains available as an option on XLT and Lobo 402A models. Ford is also expanding production capacity for in-demand trims such as the XL, Hybrid, and Lariat AWD to meet growing customer demand. With these updates, the Maverick continues to deliver value, versatility, and customization in the compact pickup segment.
