Ford Connected Navigation for EV Road Trips

This is the way you use the onboard navigation system to plan road trips and have the computer do the work of figuring out where and when to stop and charge. Your vehicle includes a one year subscription to this Ford Connected Navigation service; your subscription can be renewed through your FordPass app by touching the Account button in the top right corner, and then the Connected Services button.

BlueOval Charge Network

If you don’t want to download and install an app for every charging provider, the BlueOval Charge Network is your solution! This is the Ford “network of networks” for third-party charging, and how you’ll be able to access the Tesla Supercharger network when you receive your NACS (Tesla) to CCS adapter. Using chargers in the BlueOval Charge Network means that you pay for your charge session directly through your FordPass app – no third-party app required.

We’ve found these third-party charging apps to be useful:

PlugShare – for finding chargers out in the wild. company.plugshare.com/plugshare.html

BC Hydro – our favourite network of public commercial chargers, and one of the most reliable of them all. BC Hydro now charges by the kilowatt-hour; click here for pricing and rate information.

FLO – our second-favourite network of public commercial chargers, and they seem to be all over the place. www.flo.com/en-ca/products/software/flo-mobile-app/

FLO has partnered with many other network providers – minimizing the number of apps and accounts you need to sign in: -https://electricautonomy.ca/charging/public-charging/2025-09-15/swtch-flo-roaming-deal-ev-chargers

Ordering a NACS (Tesla Supercharger) to CCS adapter

Click here to order your Tesla Supercharger DC fast charging adapter from Ford. Please note: this adapter is for Level 3 DC fast charging at Tesla Supercharger sites only – it is not compatible with Level 2 (home) Tesla chargers.

Remember, you don’t need an adapter to charge at every other DC fast charger right now! Adapters are only required to use Tesla chargers; every other charger out there is compatible with your electric Ford, right now! Click here to find a charger!
