The 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo introduced something uncommon in today’s pickup market: a compact truck designed with street performance in mind rather than off-road capability. While the Lobo stands apart as a factory-built model, owners of other EcoBoost AWD Ford Mavericks can now borrow one of its key handling upgrades.

Ford Performance is now offering the Maverick Lobo stabilizer bar through its catalog under part number M-5490-MS, priced at $100 USD. This is the same stabilizer bar used on the Lobo from the factory and is designed to reduce body roll and improve cornering stability during spirited on-road driving.
Compared to the standard Maverick stabilizer bar, the Lobo version features increased wall thickness and a higher spring rate of 34.7 n/mm, versus 29.9 n/mm on the stock component. The kit includes all required mounting hardware and bushings, making it a relatively straightforward upgrade for EcoBoost AWD Maverick owners.

While the Lobo does not offer additional engine output over the standard 2.0L EcoBoost, it benefits from a collection of chassis and handling enhancements. These include a revised suspension that lowers the truck 0.5 inches at the front and 1.12 inches at the rear, along with unique 19-inch wheels and performance-oriented tires.
Additional Lobo-specific upgrades include torque vectoring via a twin-clutch rear drive unit, specially tuned steering, and dual-piston front brake calipers borrowed from the Focus ST. The truck also features upgraded cooling hardware from the available 4K Tow Package, including a larger radiator, cooling fan, and transmission oil cooler.
For EcoBoost AWD Maverick owners who enjoy a more dynamic, road-focused driving experience, the Lobo stabilizer bar offers a cost-effective way to enhance handling using genuine Ford Performance hardware.
