Ford Bronco Adds Heavy-Duty Tie Rod Kits to Boost Off-Road Durability

The sixth-generation Ford Bronco has become one of the most customizable off-road SUVs on the market, and now Ford Performance is adding even more capability with the introduction of new heavy-duty tie rod kits. These components address a known vulnerability in the Bronco’s steering system, giving drivers greater confidence when pushing their SUV to the limits on rugged terrain.

Ford Performance now offers dedicated left- and right-side heavy-duty tie rod kits under part numbers M-3200-TRL and M-3200-TRR. Priced at 70 USD each, these upgraded components are specifically designed to work with the improved steering rack introduced in early 2024. This system was rolled out on Badlands and Sasquatch Package-equipped models, many of which now include the high-performance H.O.S.S. 3.0 suspension setup as standard.

The decision to release stronger tie rods came after Ford received feedback from Bronco owners who experienced steering component failures while off-roading—particularly when using Trail Turn Assist or installing oversized tires and wheels. In response, Ford has taken a proactive approach, not only updating OEM configurations but also making key reinforcements available as standalone upgrades.

This move is part of Ford’s broader strategy to empower Bronco owners to personalize their vehicles while maintaining durability and performance. Like the Bronco Raptor’s shock tower skid plates and fuel tank protection, these tie rod upgrades help turn every Bronco into a serious off-road machine—whether it’s straight from the factory or being built up one part at a time.
