Mustang Mach-E breaks Guinness World Record after 916 km trip on a single charge!

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has set a new Guinness World Record by traveling an astonishing 916.74 kilometers on a single charge, breaking the previous record for electric vehicles. The record-setting journey, which took over 24 hours, was meticulously documented and verified by Webfleet, a leading vehicle tracking and fleet management firm.

The successful attempt was spearheaded by drivers Kevin Booker and Sam Clarke, with Richard Parker as their co-pilot, all sponsored by Webfleet. The team drove the Mustang Mach-E Premium Extended Range (RWD with 18″ wheels), which is equipped with a 91 kWh battery and typically offers a rated range of 515 km. However, the Mach-E outperformed expectations, averaging 6.25 miles per kWh on a mix of public urban and rural roads across the UK. Even after the battery reached 0%, the drivers managed to squeeze out an additional 21 miles, bringing the total distance to a record-breaking 569.64 miles.

Beverly Wise, Webfleet's UKI Regional Director for Bridgestone, highlighted the significance of the achievement, stating that the record "represents a significant milestone showing the potential of EVs." The event was not only a testament to the Mustang Mach-E's advanced engineering and Bridgestone’s high-performance tires but also to the growing capabilities of electric vehicles in real-world conditions.

Kevin Booker, who, along with Clarke, has previously set records for energy consumption and fuel economy, expressed hope that this accomplishment would inspire more people to consider electric vehicles for their daily travel. With the competition among automakers intensifying, particularly in developing more efficient battery technologies, this record is likely to spur further attempts in the near future.
