To ensure eligibility for a rebate on your new Ford Escape PHEV or Ford F-150 Lightning XLT, it’s critical to understand the following deadlines and requirements set by the Ministry:

• Sales Completion Deadline: All vehicle sales must be fully completed and submitted to the Ministry by May 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
• What Constitutes a Completed Sale: A sale is considered complete when the purchaser has:
  • Paid the full purchase price, OR
  • Signed a purchase contract or security agreement AND taken physical possession or delivery of the vehicle.
  • Crucially, the transaction is deemed completed upon the delivery of the vehicle to you, as evidenced by the effective date on your ICBC Owner’s Certificate of Insurance and Vehicle License.
• Rebate Ineligibility After Deadline: If your vehicle transaction is not completed (meaning you haven’t taken delivery and the paperwork isn’t submitted) by May 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM, you will not be eligible to receive a rebate.
• Pre-Approval Requirement: Individual applicants must be pre-approved (deemed eligible) by the Ministry on or before the delivery date of your vehicle. If your vehicle is delivered before you receive pre-approval, the deal will be ineligible for the CleanBC rebate.
• Application Submission Deadline: The Ministry will stop accepting customer rebate applications at 6:00 PM Pacific Time on May 15, 2025. Any applications received after this time will not be assessed.
