Always "Built Ford Tough," the rugged and dependable Ford trucks boast quiet and comfortable interiors, sturdy exteriors, and enough configurations to satisfy the most discerning buyers. Here's a look at this year's line of Ford trucks.
The Ford Ranger
After an eight-year hiatus, the Ford Ranger returns better than ever. The new midsize Ranger offers exceptional versatility, lots of standard amenities, and excellent fuel economy for a pickup truck. Every 2020 Ford Ranger comes with a 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost Engine, a SelectShift electronic 10-speed automatic transmission with Tow/Haul Mode, and Electronic-Shift-On-the-Fly 4x4 drivetrains. Ford makes the new Ranger pickup in three trims - XL, XLT, and Lariat - and SuperCab and SuperCrew configurations. The Ranger can tow up to 3401 kg, seats five, and has a max payload of 748 kg. Fuel economy numbers are 11.8 City/9.8 Hwy/10.9 combined (L/100km).
The Ford F-150
A rugged exterior, a quiet and comfortable interior, and lots of standard technology features make the Ford F-150 one of the most popular pickup trucks in the world, year in and year out. Ford offers several engine/transmission/drivetrain combinations on the F-150. Five engine choices - a 3.3L Ti-VCT V6, a 2.7L EcoBoost, a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8, a 3.5L EcoBoost, and a 3.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel V6 - plus available 4x4 drivetrains, and six or ten-speed automatic transmissions make customizing the F-150 a breeze. Available trims include XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Raptor, Platinum, and Limited. Ford produces the F-150 in three cab configurations - Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew. The Ford F-150 has a max towing capacity of 5,987 kg, and a maximum payload of 14823 kg. Fuel economy numbers vary depending on trim and configuration with 11.9L/100km City/9.4L/100km Hwy/10.8L/100km combined at the better end of the scale.
Ford Super Duty Trucks
The Ford Super Duty pickups add power, size, and toughness to the equation. Models include Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450. All versions also come in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims. A high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy makes Ford Super Duty trucks extra rugged and lightweight at the same time. Ford offers their Super Duty pickups with a choice of engines - a 6.2L 2 Valve Gas SOHC EFI NA V-8, or a 6.7L 4-Valve Power Stroke Diesel V-8. Regular, Super, and Crew cab setups, along with short and long box configurations, make setting up the truck an easy task. Ford Super Duty trucks have a max towing capacity of 9,525 kg and a max payload of 3,461 kg.
Along with all of the great features found on each model, almost every new Ford pickup (excluding specific base models) also comes with SYNC3. Ford's SYNC3 lets owners stream their favorite music apps like iHeartRadio and Pandora, navigate with the Waze app, and even control their supported Smart Home devices right from the SYNC3 colour touchscreen interface. Ford's new CoPilot 360 driver-assist and safety technologies, also found on most models, includes features like Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and Hill Descent Control. Every Ford pickup also comes with one of several different Terrain Management systems. Thanks to so many models and configurations, there's a perfect Ford truck for every job, big or small.
