He gave me suggestions and his advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. After I decided on a Chevrolet Malibu the process is quick and professional. Being able to purchase, register and insure the vehicle all in one location is convenient and saves time and money. Also, while I was there I purchased a part for my other vehicle from their large service department. They had the item in stock where all the other providers had to order it in.

Ford Examines Consumer Privacy Trends

The quest for privacy often proves difficult. Consumers find their movements tracked by an endless series of website cookies, keyword analyses, and placement targeting - each intended to examine behaviors and redefine sales content. Trying to remain anonymous seems impossible.

Ford recently wondered, however, is this impossibility could ever become positive. Watch below as Sheryl Connelly, Manager of Global Trends and Futuring, discusses the recent trend toward privacy - and how a simple give-and-take philosophy could yield rewards for both consumers and manufacturers.



The privacy trend poses a unique series of challenges for Ford. It requires a precise balance of information and anonymity, connecting consumers to the Internet of Things. This collection of patterns - which includes GPS singals, traffic routes, app integrations, and more - allows the company to better understand drivers. It must pair that understanding, however, with genuine benefits.

As Connelly notes, consumers expect an even trade of data - and real-world value is essential.
