The Ford Maverick's production saw a significant boost in September 2024, following a major rebound in August after slowdowns during the summer months. According to Ford's latest sales report, the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico increased Maverick production to 16,495 units in September—up 5.6 percent from August’s 15,619 units. Although the increase is smaller than the nearly 95 percent surge between July and August, the production numbers for 2024 remain solid, with a total of 135,224 units produced in the first nine months of the year.
The 2025 Ford Maverick is also set to debut with its first refresh since launching in 2022. This update includes a revised front fascia, new color options, and a revamped trim lineup that now features the Tremor and the sporty Lobo models. Additionally, the Maverick Hybrid gets a new transmission and can be flat-towed, enhancing its versatility.
The interior has seen notable upgrades as well, with a standard 13.2-inch infotainment screen and an eight-inch digital instrument cluster across all trims. Importantly, all-wheel drive is now available for the Maverick Hybrid, a new option that increases the truck's appeal.
However, these updates come with a price increase for the 2025 model. Despite the rise in cost, the Ford Maverick remains more affordable than its competitor, the Hyundai Santa Cruz, making it a strong contender in the compact pickup segment.
