Ford Escape Hybrid Among ‘Most Loved’ Vehicles Of 2024

The Ford Escape Hybrid has proven itself as a reliable and efficient choice among electrified SUVs and crossovers, capturing the hearts of many owners since its debut. Renowned for its longevity, this model has been known to hit hundreds of thousands of miles, solidifying its reputation as a dependable vehicle that owners love to hold onto. It’s no surprise, then, that the Ford Escape Hybrid made the list of the most loved vehicles in America, as recently released by iSeeCars.

In this new ranking, the Ford Escape Hybrid secured the seventh spot, outshining many popular models, including the Toyota RAV4, Lexus IS 350, and Honda Ridgeline. The only vehicles that managed to outshine it were the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Toyota Highlander, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Prius, and Honda CR-V, illustrating the strong following for this electrified crossover. For years, it’s stood as a symbol of reliability and fuel efficiency, features that drivers appreciate in the long term.

To create this list, iSeeCars analyzed data from over 929,000 vehicles from model years 1981 to 2009 sold between January and September 2024. By looking at cars that original owners kept for at least 15 years, iSeeCars highlighted the select few models that inspire lasting loyalty. On average, owners keep new vehicles for about eight years, but 6.3 percent of Ford Escape Hybrid owners held onto their vehicle for 15 years or more—well above the 3.7 percent industry average. This loyalty speaks volumes about the model’s ability to meet its owners' needs year after year.

According to iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer, “Most consumers can’t commit to a single vehicle for more than a decade, but those that do save a lot of money on their vehicle costs.” Owning a reliable vehicle like the Ford Escape Hybrid for an extended period can reduce loan payments and lower insurance and registration costs, making long-term ownership highly economical. Brauer points out that for those looking to keep a vehicle for 15 years or more, reliability, practicality, and fuel efficiency are essential—and the Ford Escape Hybrid delivers on all counts.
