Ford E-Transit and Transit See Updates and New Packages for 2025

Ford continues to refine its electric and gasoline-powered Transit lineup, bringing valuable updates to both the E-Transit and Transit vans for the 2025 model year. These rolling enhancements follow the recent improvements made to the E-Transit, including a larger battery, extended range, and faster charging times introduced in 2024. For 2025, Ford is focusing on versatility with a variety of new upfit packages and accessory kits to serve the needs of professionals in multiple trades.

The 2025 Transit and E-Transit now feature four factory-installed trade packages crafted by Ranger Design, each targeting a specific industry’s needs. Electricians, for instance, can opt for an upfit that provides drawers, bins, and reels for neatly storing tools and materials, priced at $4,370 USD. HVAC professionals can choose a package featuring large storage shelves, refrigerant racks, and bin storage for $4,440 USD. For general contractors, a mixed package of shelves, drawers, and hooks is available at $2,900 USD, while a foldable shelving package for delivery services offers space-saving, high-capacity shelves at an MSRP of $3,300 USD. Since these kits are factory-installed, they come with the vehicle’s three-year, 36,000-mile warranty, and can be financed along with the van.

To further support professional users, Ford has added two new interior accessory options to both the 2025 Transit and E-Transit models. A wall liner kit, which includes enhanced lighting and wheel well covers, facilitates easy upfitting and organization. A grab handle kit, meanwhile, enhances accessibility for frequent in-and-out access. Fleet customers can also benefit from the new Smart Acceleration Truncation option, which calculates payload to adjust acceleration for smoother, safer stops and starts, optimizing driver behavior and cargo handling.

Ford has also added convenient updates to improve daily functionality, such as standard 180-degree opening doors on all low- and medium-roof Transit cargo vans, with a 253-degree opening on high-roof cargo models and as an option for others. E-Transit cargo vans now offer a Mobile Power Cord option, complete with a fast-charging adapter, making charging more flexible. With these updates, the 2025 Ford Transit and E-Transit are more adaptable, efficient, and equipped to serve a broad range of industries and needs, offering both ICE and EV users more ways to customize their rides for maximum productivity.
