2025 Ford Ranger Adds Ruby Red Metallic: First Look

2025 Ford Ranger Adds Ruby Red Metallic: First Look

The 2025 Ford Ranger has rolled out with a fresh selection of exterior colors, adding three eye-catching hues to its lineup: Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Marsh Gray, and Desert Sand. One standout option is the Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, a striking color that makes a bold statement on the road. Offered for an additional $495 USD, this color is available on the 2025 Ford Ranger XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, though it isn’t offered on the Ranger Raptor. With paint code RR, this vibrant red option is one of seven exterior colors available for this model.

The updated palette showcases Ford’s attention to variety, ensuring there’s something for every style. For 2025, the Ranger’s full list of exterior color options includes popular choices like Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat (G4), Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7), and Shadow Black (G1), among others. Ford has also introduced the versatile Marsh Gray (T9) and the rugged Desert Sand (VA) shades to cater to those who prefer subtler tones. Each color can be paired with either of the Ranger’s two interior colorways – Ebony or Sandstone – for added customization.

As the new colors come in, three favorites are making their exit from the Ranger lineup. Gone are Cactus Gray, Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Iconic Silver Metallic, making way for a refined yet adventurous color scheme suited to the latest Ranger’s aesthetic. While the 2025 Ranger maintains a similar design to its predecessor, it’s these subtle touches, like fresh colors, that keep it feeling contemporary and appealing to new buyers.

The latest Ranger remains largely unchanged in terms of features, which makes sense given the substantial updates made in 2024. After a major generational shift introduced in May 2023, the Ranger’s overhaul brought redesigned exterior styling, an upgraded suspension, and improved technology. However, the 2025 model sees minor updates, including a revamped keyless entry keypad and changes to the Chrome Package. The base XL trim starts at $32,890 USD, while the premium Raptor trim comes in at $55,720 USD, both exclusive of destination charges – reflecting Ford’s commitment to delivering value and variety across its lineup.
