2025 Ford Expedition King Ranch: Live Photo Gallery

The redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition has officially made its debut, showcasing a host of updates that enhance both its aesthetics and functionality. With a fresh look that includes new front and rear exterior styling, the full-size SUV is poised to impress. Ford Authority recently had the opportunity to explore the luxurious King Ranch trim up close, offering insights into the notable features that elevate this model above the rest. The King Ranch was revealed alongside the even more opulent Platinum trim at the 2024 Texas State Fair, both adorned with the same striking new front fascia and unique accents.

The King Ranch’s exterior stands out with its white finish and bronze accents, including a distinctive bronze-painted section on the lower front bumper. The SUV is equipped with standard 22-inch Sinister Bronze wheels that contribute to its luxurious appearance. A highlight of the new design is the innovative Split Gate, which functions similarly to a pickup truck's tailgate. This feature allows the upper portion of the liftgate to open upward while the lower section folds down, capable of supporting up to 500 pounds. Additionally, the Split Gate includes a seatback as part of the optional Cargo Tailgate Manager, allowing it to convert into a convenient serving table. Access to the cargo area is simplified with a hands-free option activated by proximity.

Inside, the 2025 Ford Expedition has undergone a significant transformation with the introduction of a stunning 24-inch panoramic display that serves as both the instrument cluster and center screen. This cutting-edge display is powered by Ford’s new Digital Experience software, providing drivers with an intuitive and modern interface. The interior revamp complements the SUV’s robust capabilities, ensuring a comfortable and technologically advanced ride for passengers.

Under the hood, the King Ranch is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, delivering an impressive 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. For those seeking even more power, the high-output variant produces 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, all mated to a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. The order banks for the 2025 Ford Expedition are set to open on October 24th, 2024, with the first deliveries anticipated in spring 2025. While production is scheduled to begin at the Kentucky Truck plant on January 6th, 2025, these dates are subject to change as Ford continues to finalize the launch details.
