Shelby American has officially unveiled the 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor variants, offering two new versions of the high-performance off-road truck: the regular Baja Raptor and the Shelby Raptor R. These new models come as a result of the mid-cycle refresh of the 2024 Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor, continuing Shelby’s legacy of enhancing Ford’s iconic Raptor pickup trucks, which began back in 2013. With these two new additions, buyers can choose between the V6-powered Raptor or the more powerful V8-powered Raptor R as their base vehicle.
Both 2024 Shelby Baja Raptor models feature impressive upgrades. The exterior is equipped with off-road bumpers, LED lighting, Shelby stripes, a lightweight hood with functional scoops, and a chase rack. The interior sees Shelby branding and other unique touches. The regular Baja Raptor gets a boost from its twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, now pushing 550 horsepower thanks to enhancements like a high-flow air filter and an upgraded intercooler. The Shelby Raptor R, on the other hand, boasts a supercharged 5.2L V8 that can deliver up to 900 horsepower with an optional Shelby by Whipple supercharger.
For off-road capability, both models come equipped with BDS lift kits, Fox live-valve shocks, 18-inch Shelby Raptor flow-forged wheels, and 37-inch mud-terrain tires, making them ready for extreme terrain. These upgrades come with the backing of a three-year/36,000-mile warranty that covers the powertrain, ensuring reliability on and off the road.
Available through select Tuscany and Ford dealers in North America, each 2024 Shelby Baja Raptor comes with its own unique serial number documented in the official Shelby Registry. Pricing starts at $51,995 USD for the regular Baja Raptor and $54,995 USD for the Raptor R, excluding the base truck. These powerful off-road machines continue Shelby’s tradition of producing top-tier performance trucks for enthusiasts.
