Exterior
There are some key design changes to the Maverick's exterior between the XL and XLT models. The lower-priced XL features 17-inch steel wheels and black mesh grille with black surround. The higher-priced XLT features 17-inch painted aluminum wheels and grey grille bar, as well as additional optional features such as front tow hooks, body-coloured side mirrors, splash guards, and more.
In the truck's bed, the XLT adds in cubby storage on the passenger side to expand the number of secure compartments available to drivers.
Technology and Security
While the infotainment system remains the same on both trim levels, there is a key technology feature missing on the XL model--cruise control. Cruise control comes standard on the XLT.
