Key West Ford’s sales team ( my main contact Peter Olson) were a pleasure to deal with when I recently went looking to replace my 8 year old F150 pick up. Peter was very thorough in showing and explaining the dealerships new and pre owned vehicles as well as what new vehicles were available at other lower mainland dealers. I left the dealership to think about my options returning a few days later and purchased a great 1 year old ,well optioned pick up , exactly what I was looking for ! Know the vehicle that you want to buy

To avoid a disappointment, research specific makes and models online to help guide your used vehicle shopping experience. Once you’ve narrowed down your choices, call ahead to book a test drive, so you can compare your options in person.
 
Consider high-volume cars
If you're in the market for a vehicle that regularly sells in the hundreds of thousands, you’ll find that you’ll have more purchasing power and selection, compared to a more obscure vehicle. To learn what autos are high-volume cars, do some research on Craigslist or AutoTrader – you’ll learn very quickly what’s popular and available, and what’s not.
 
Know what it’s worth

Get more for your money
If you are experiencing sticker shock, but you’d rather not walk away from a deal, try negotiating with the seller to include extras, like a full tank of gas, an oil change, vehicle accessories or a professional detailing. The worst they can say is no, which means you can either accept the deal or walk away.
