Professional & efficient
Peter Olson was a great person to deal with. He was very accommodating & always willing to help even after the sale was finalized. I've dealt with many sales personnel in my life but none as helpful as Peter Olson. Great job.

Rewarding Experience
Key West Ford’s sales team ( my main contact Peter Olson) were a pleasure to deal with when I recently went looking to replace my 8 year old F150 pick up. Peter was very thorough in showing and explaining the dealerships new and pre owned vehicles as well as what new vehicles were available at other lower mainland dealers. I left the dealership to think about my options returning a few days later and purchased a great 1 year old ,well optioned pick up , exactly what I was looking for ! I’d like to thank Peter for answering all my questions on comparisons between different models, options, new or pre- owned, I’d also like to thank Michelle for making the “ paper work “ very easy to get through.
Qucik and professional.

5 Winter Weather Test Driving Tips

(Posted on Jan 21, 2016 at 06:00AM by Michelle Bogle)
used ford cars trucks for sale vancouver bcDespite the colder temperatures, slushy roads and ice-covered windshields, winter is actually a great time of year for car shopping. But, it also presents unique challenges when it comes to test driving.
At Key West Ford, we want you to have the best new or used car shopping experience at our dealership, no matter the season! That’s why we’ve created these five winter weather test drive tips just for you:
Skip the winter boots
Even though it may be cool, damp or snowy out, wear your regular driving shoes to your test drive, a winter boots won’t give you the same pedal or driving feel.
Dust off the snow
If your test drive is scheduled for a snowy day, make sure to clear off the snow. This will give you a better view of imperfections on the vehicle, that you may not otherwise see. Give the windshields, glass, headlights, body and wheels a good brushing prior to inspection.
Take off your gloves
Steering wheel feel is a key factor to consider when test driving a used vehicle. You’ll want to feel the wheel in your bare hands to know how the indents line up with your hand position, and how the material feels when gripping and turning.
Remove your coat
The same can be said for your winter jacket. You’ll want to take it off during your drive to test the comfort of the vehicle and to remove any unnecessary bulk when using the controls. This is also a great time to test heating and cooling functions, as you’ll be able to feel the hot and cold blasts of air much better.
Drive on a variety of roads with varying conditions
The point of a test drive is to see how a car handles in various situations. While out driving, put the vehicle through a gauntlet of tests on wet, icy, snowy and salted roads. This will give you a full-scale view on how the vehicle performs in various winter driving conditions.
Want to put these tips to the test? At Key West Ford, we have a wide inventory of preowned cars and trucks in stock, offering some of the best deals in B.C.
