Saying goodbye to family is never easy. Earlier this week we lost one of our own.
Joey Cheba, a valued member of our sales team and our dear friend, died late Monday evening of causes yet to be determined. While there are still questions, the how and the why are less important than the 'who'; the fact is that we've all lost a member of our Key West family.
Joey was a hard worker, a tenacious salesman, and most importantly a good friend to us. In his two years with us he proved himself time and time again by coming in to work everyday with a good attitude and achievement on his mind despite a myriad of health problems that would've driven a weaker person to quitting. He often said, "Any day I'm well enough to come in to work is a good day." He was on his way to leading a healthier lifestyle and to achieving both his personal and professional goals.
He is survived by his wife and young son. To aid them in this difficult time we decided that partial proceeds from every vehicle sold from now until the end of the month will go to them. It's the least we can do in Joey's absence. His presence was a boon to this place and his impact will be felt here for years to come.
