Every Ford vehicle is carefully designed. Details are examined; mechanics are tested; and the result is excellence.
Drivers can now, however, transform excellence into perfection.
At Ford’s Research and Innovation Center--located in Dearborn, Michigan--engineers are redefining driver comfort. Contoured seats will soon be offered, allowing individuals to tailor their vehicles to their specific needs and standards.
With support from the Human Occupant Package Simulator (HOPS) lab, Ford technicians are developing multi-functional seats for future cars. Drivers can interact with these seats--whether through voice command or a touch screen-- and dictate the levels of firmness, lower lumbar support, air bladder resistance, temperature and more. This provides customization for every car owner.
Comfort is no longer hoped for. It’s offered.
Ford takes the simple concept of seating and turns it into an experience. Future cars (like the Mustang or the Fiesta) will provide peerless performances and undeniable convenience.
