Hyack Festival Association & Key West Ford to Assist KidSport New Westminster
New Westminster, BC: December 1st marks the kickoff of KidSport New Westminster’s new fundraising initiative. During the month of December, local residents can donate used sports equipment to KidSport and help youngsters in the community participate in sports. KidSport New West holds two annual used equipment sales to raise money to help families offset the cost of registration in sports programs.
The Hyack Festival Association and Key West Ford have announced they will partner with KidSport New Westminster to help launch the program. “We are really excited to be working with Hyack and Key West Ford on this initiative,” announced Sandon Fraser of KidSport New West. “By bringing organizations, businesses and volunteers together, we can accomplish more and keep kids off the sidelines and on the field.”
Donations of used sporting goods will be accepted at the Key West Ford showroom on Stewardson Way and at the Hyack Festival Association office at 204 Sixth Street. In addition, used sporting goods can be dropped off between 3pm and 7pm at the KidSport booth located at Hyack Square during the CIBC Christmas Parade of Lights on Saturday, December 1st.
“Key West Ford is proud to help champion programs like this,” said Adam Isfeld, Dealer Principal, Key West Ford. “We are committed to partnering with our friends at Hyack and KidSport, and if we can help get more youngsters registered in sports programs, then we will be delighted.”
The Hyack Festival Association and Key West Ford plan to expand the partnership with KidSport New Westminster to include other events held throughout the year.
