I recently purshased a new F-150. It will be my 5th vehicle from Key west. Everytime they treat me great. I found my latest truck on line. Ryan and JR in the internet dept were quick to get back to me with different options for trucks. Michelle in finance is a sweet heart. Made sure I got the best rates and best term. Wes the sales manager is always good to negotiate with and we always come to a fair price that we are both happy with. Phil the salesman took the time to really find what my needs are and was able to find me the perfect truck. He was very knowledgeable and made the entire process very enjoyable. We live on the Sunshine Coast with a limited selection of the type of car we were looking for, the Keywest web site had a few on their lot so we made a call to Michael and planned to drop by on the weekend. Not only did we find what we were looking for, a week later we decided we loved the model, the Fusion Titanium, but didn't like the colour, so we came back and traded it in for a year newer fully loaded model and true to Michael's word, the swap was seamless. All other car salesmen could benefit from following Michael around for a day because his style, attitude and sense of humour is very refreshing compared to the agents we dealt with before coming to Keywest. There was absolutely no sales pressure and we were never rushed or pushed into anything, we told him what we wanted and he bent over backwards to make it happen, no detail was overlooked, right down to programming our navigation system to get us back to the ferry terminal. We were shopping for a new truck and were having pretty bad luck for various reasons. We found a ttuck posted on Key West Ford's website that was in our price range and everything we were looking for. We contacted Micheal and it was smooth sailing from there! Being very set on keeping our budget we went in to negotiate and view the truck. It was just what we were looking for and Micheal made the numbers work for us by paying us fair price for our trade in, this stood out to us as we had been insulted at other dealerships by how little they were trying to give us! Micheal, Wes and Gurj worked efficiently and effectively and had us driving away the same day in a better suited vehicle for our young family. It seems like just yesterday our friends to the south of us were celebrating Thanksgiving – now we the Holiday Season is in full swing! With that the year is soon to come to an end. Many of us reflect on the year gone by – events, accomplishments and change.

While change is good, so many things have happened over the last year that effected the lower mainland new and used car market and with it – the way we connect with our customers. The car business has changed. It’s gone social. Social is suddenly huge. So is the mobile Internet.

We used to connect with our local market via traditional newspaper and other forms of advertising. Like many businesses we found that that alone wasn’t  working as well so we started looking around at what was happening online.

Social is definitely upon us. It is everywhere and has forever affected the way people look at the auto market, auto dealers and how they ultimately make a decision for a significant purchase.

Social networks and the various media options is really many voices all with a specific network of friends or connections. As a consequence people have grown numb to most marketing messages.

No doubt many people are in the market for a vehicle in the Lower Mainland of BC and beyond. Its our job to create messages and confidence in our  customers to rise above the noise and deliver a message anyone looking for a new our used vehicle is interested in following.

Storytelling is as old as mankind, but the stories now have to captivate readers (and potential car or truck buyers) into listening while using technology to deliver then attract folks to a common message. To deliver our ‘story’ we  implemented a new platform that allows us to speak to all social networks with a united voice while measuring the results using "cross platformable” tools.
