Latest Ford news from Key West ford, Vancouver And New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada
The F-150 was recently named the best-selling car of 2015, revving past the competition and achieving record-breaking results. While some of this acclaim was won through Ford’s signature power, the rest was instead earned by the new aluminum design - which delivered improved economy, performance, and efficiency. Over 700 pounds was lost, ensuring a more effective pick-up.
Now Ford seeks to push the F-150 to the top of the sales chart again... by further enhancing its aluminum construction.
According to BizJournals, Ford is partnering with renowned aluminum creator Novelis - a German-based design firm that utilizes alloy compositions to strengthen overall form, function, and durability. All materials are painstakingly engineered, relying on a series of in-house operations to ensure exceptional results. These results include: microstructuring, thermal testing, pretreatment testing, and rolling mill testing. Through this a more sustainable product is achieved.
It comes as no surprise, therefore, that Ford wishes to partner with Novelis and transform its F-150 from heavy-duty truck to all-terrain beast. A new aluminum design will ensure best-in-class towing, payloads, and more.
We can’t wait to see the results!

2015 seemed destined for despair. Ford introduced its new F-150, drawing none of the usual excitement or acclaim. Drivers instead doubted the aluminum construction, while critics wondered if the F-Series has finally lost its relevancy. Early sales proved slow and many thought the pick-up market doomed.
Key West Ford is now happy to bring good tidings for the new year - because the F-150 was the best-selling truck of 2015.
According to the New York Daily News, Ford generated a staggering 695,143 sales for its signature F-Series model. This allowed it to easily dominate the competition (with the Chevrolet Silverado languishing in second place with 537,552 units and the Dodge Ram a distant third with 407,981 units). This surge of pick-up interest elevated the market to more than 2.2 million total sales - the highest overall amount since 2007!
The release of the 2015 F-150 redefined the automotive world. It provided aluminum efficiency, enhanced towing, and improved payloads to drivers across Canada and the United States - and it ensured that Ford remained the king of chrome.
We’re not surprised.

Halloween has ended - the candy bowls emptied, the costumes tossed on the floor, the decorations all stacked back in their attic boxes. In the tiny town of Napoleon, Ohio, however, there remains one last remnant of the holiday: a F-150 corn maze.
Leaders Farms - led by Brad and Kristin Leaders - is the center of agricultural entertainment in Ohio. This sprawl of pumpkin patches, creek mining troughs, and woodland trails draws countless visitors every Autumn: all wanting to celebrate the season and its many tricks and treats. It’s the perfect family destination.
This year it was also the perfect destination for Ford fans. Check out this incredible F-150 corn maze!
Halloween is over but the F-150 inspiration remains at Leaders Farms. The corn maze - which delivers over five miles of pathways, winding participants through a series of twists, turns, and car-inspired tire tracks - is an exciting way to spend an afternoon. The Key West team would've loved to experience it.
We also wouldn’t have minded trying out northwest Ohio’s first pumpkin cannon - and, really, can you blame us?
High performance doesn’t have a 9 to 5 schedule - and neither does the 2015 F-150.
Pick-up drivers often find themselves working in the evening: hauling equipment, towing loads, or simply following the long backroads to new destinations. Completing these tasks proves challenging enough in the daylight. Without the sun, however, they often seem impossible. More time is devoted to squinting in the dark than finishing projects.
Ford wishes to change this - which is why its 2015 F-150 features a unique LED Spotlight System, perfect for those late-night hauls. Check it out!
The 2015 F-150 embraces blue-collar functionality. Its LED package (tailored along the cargo bed and side mirrors) illuminates even the darkest corners, allowing drivers to see in all conditions. No longer scramble for flashlights or smartphones. Let Ford instead brighten the way.
When the 2015 F-150 was first announced, most critics focused on its aluminum body and EcoBoost engine. Drivers, however, have quickly begun to appreciate all of the little details that make this Ford option perfect for everyday demands. The LED Spotlight system is one such detail.

Nestled along the Beaufort Sea is Tuktoyaktuk. This tiny Inuvialuit village is at the fringe of Canada’s mainland, with boundaries sketched in snow and roads leading to a mountainous wilderness. Unforgiving is a kind description.
To prove the power of its 2015 F-150 the company launched a unique experiment in Tuktoyaktuk, testing its 2.7L engine against arctic winds. Watch the results below!
The 2015 F-150 reigned supreme in Tuktoyaktuk, surviving temperatures as low as -50 degrees and winds as high as 120 kilometers an hour. Its EcoBoost engine effortlessly adapted to the environment, supplying power as needed and generating crucial heat. This was the ultimate pick-up test... and Ford passed with flying colors.
With the introduction of the 2015 F-150 Ford redefined automotives. The use of aluminum promised superior power, performance and economy - ensuring that each pick-up could adapt to BC’s toughest conditions with ease.
Now Ford is (once again) transforming the truck market. It’s just announced a natural gas option for its upcoming 2016 F-150.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Ford will offer drivers a unique option for the next-generation F-150. Natural gas can be chosen to power its 5.0L V8 engine, utilizing a series of fuel injectors to ensure precise delivery and efficiency. This will allow individuals to achieve high speeds, while also reducing overall emissions.
The program, which has already been met with much acclaim, was initiated due to a demand for better green technology. Ford has already provided the world with hybrids and electric engines. This is simply the next step in sustainability.
The Key West team can’t wait to see this option in action - can you?

Few landscapes are as unforgiving as the Canadian Arctic Circle. Snow, ice and dark nights stretch along the Northwest Territories. It’s miles of distant mountains and forgotten roads.
Most drivers wouldn't dare venture into such an environment, but Lorne Browne - Search and Rescue volunteer and Ford F-150 enthusiast - is willing to take on the challenge. Watch as he maneuvers through the Arctic Circle, relying on just his wits and his truck.
The 2015 F-150 redefines pick-ups. It’s an aluminum powerhouse, promising best-in-class towing, best-in-class payload and EcoBoost efficiency. Lorne Browne’s reliance on it in the Arctic Circle is no surprise. This is the perfect truck for wild-terrain domination.

The 2015 F-150 has received much acclaim. Because of its aluminum construction and EcoBoost-enhanced engine, it’s been praised for performance, speed and economy. None can deny that it’s redefined the pick-up field.
None can also deny that it’s changing safety standards.
The 2015 Ford F-150 recently received a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Both the regular and SuperCab models were tested, each receiving high marks in side crash resistance, front crash resistance and roll-over resistance. These results surprised many critics, who feared that the aluminum framing would not withstand any substantial impact.
The 2015 F-150 now ranks among the safest pick-ups on the market. It’s also the first truck to earn five-stars under the NHSTA’s new guidelines (stricter rules were recently imposed, with vehicles examined for both driver-side and passenger-side performance). This makes it an ideal choice for those who demand more than fuel economy.

The 2015 F-150 is a masterclass of engineering. Ford has carefully pieced together double-wishbone suspensions, vented discs, close-ratio transmissions and Ti-VCT power. This allows the truck to achieve up to 385 HP and 387 lb.-ft of torque.
It also allows it to push through even the heaviest snow.
Watch below as the 2015 F-150 - fitted with its exclusive plow kit - cuts through the sleet and slush! New Westminster winters will no longer keep drivers away from the road.
The 2015 F-150 delivers high-performance results in any weather, making it a perfect option for all BC drivers. Battle the elements with pick-up ease.

There is one certainty for 2015: it will be the year of the F-150.
Recent reports suggest that Ford’s signature pick-up is headed toward record-breaking numbers, with over 700,000 F-150 variants estimated for 2015. This is an increase of almost 30% from last year, when the company only sold 470,000 models.
What sparked this sudden rise in sales?
The F-150 has been redesigned, with drivers taking considerable interest in its aluminum framing, enhanced economy and best-in-class towing. This - when combined with Ford’s streamlined assembly process - has caused a spike in production, with the truck reigning supreme in plants and dealerships alike. The need for higher numbers can’t be denied.
Should Ford achieve its 700,000 goal it will surpass the total 2014 sales for the F-150 and, more impressively, it will nearly match the total 2014 sales for the entire F-Series (753,000). This proves a dramatic shift in consumer purchasing - and the Key West team can’t wait to see how high the final tally will reach.
