Everything about my trip to Key West was great, Peter Olson, Wes Upton & Nicholas Terezakis were amazing to deal with. Super patient guys with a knack for customer service, never once did I feel like I was at a normal dealership, these guys made the car buying process super easy and not stressful.

My New Favourite Dealership!

My boyfriend and I were on the hunt for a new SUV, and we ended up being helped by Rob Vanoverschot. I was nervous about going to a dealership as I'd never purchased off of a lot before - and Rob made the process a breeze! He answered all of our questions and never made us feel pressured at all! We test drove about 6 different makes and models and fell in love with a 2019 Ford Escape. I would highly recommend Rob and Key West Ford, even the financing department and insurance department made this process enjoyable! Not to mention they had the best prices around - and we came all the way out from Abbotsford!

I was extremely happy with most of the folks I spoke with during my time at Key West. It took me 3 days of visiting the dealership to make sure I was making the right decision on the vehicle for my needs and my budget. All staff but one understood that this purchase wasn't an easy one to make within my budget. Peter Olsen, Michael Nokes and Robert Klaus really understood why I needed to take my time and research all my options. I appreciated their kindness and patience and didn't feel at all pressured into the sale.

I saw an ad for a F350 at the lot. The truck was not on the lot due to construction. It took a day to get the truck so I could see it. I made a deal and drove it away that afternoon. Happy with the vehicle. Sales person was new to Key West and lacked knowledge of all the options on the truck.

ford fiesta dealer bcThe Bugatti Veyron is famed for its high speeds and deft responses. It’s a powerhouse on the track and has shattered racing records across the world.

The 2016 Ford Fiesta, however, has the specs to steal the Veyron’s crown.

The Fiesta Zetec is a three-cylinder marvel with 123 BHP and an acceleration time of 62 MPH in nine seconds flat. This combines with superior fuel efficiency and inline precision for a vehicle that packs more power per liter than the Veyron. Key West Ford Suggests Changing Your Tires

Tags:
(Posted on Jun 17, 2014 at 01:30PM by Lee Byard)

ford tire service bcWinter tires conquer snow and ice. They let drivers push through the season, tackling even the wettest conditions with ease. They’re not, however, intended for the heat - and relying on them when the summer arrives can prove problematic.

Key West Ford recommends changing your tires this summer. As the temperatures fluctuate and humidity levels rise, winter tires become stressed. Their structures weaken, leading to an increased risk of over-inflation or blowouts. They’re not intended for warm weather. It changes too often and impacts treading.

All-season tires are instead recommended. These are more rugged and can endure the summer. They’re less likely to suffer from inflation changes and their lighter weights will ensure better fuel efficiency. This will increase the performance of every Mustang, Fusion and F-150.

Contact Key West Ford to learn more about summer tires. Ask us also about other seasonal maintenance options that will ensure a smooth, comfortable ride.

Build An Emergency Kit For This Summer

Tags:
(Posted on Jun 15, 2014 at 06:33AM by Lee Byard)

car emergency kit tipsEvery driver expects summer fun, but no driver expects summer emergencies. This is the season for backroad thrills. Anticipating breakdowns and skid marks seems impossible.

That anticipation is necessary, though.

Key West Ford reminds drivers that accidents are all too common. Traveling in the summer can heighten the risk of crashes, collisions and more. It’s important, therefore, to prepare for these possibilities. Create a roadside emergency kit and carry it on every adventure.

This kit should include:

First aid supplies.
Flashlight.
Jumper cables.
Car jack.
Non-perishable food.
Non-perishable medicines.
Flares.
Drinking water.
Batteries.
Phone charger.
Duct tape.
Gloves.

Tuck these items into the back of every Ford vehicle and keep them in working condition. They will prove essential in the wake of an emergency.

Key West Ford Reminds Drivers To Check Their Cooling Systems

Tags:
(Posted on Jun 15, 2014 at 06:25AM by Lee Byard)

summer car maintenance tipsSummer will soon arrive and drivers are already preparing for their open road adventures. They’ve chosen their destinations; they’ve packed their bags; and they’re ready to go.

Malfunctioning cooling systems, however, will derail all of their plans.

Key West Ford reminds drivers to check their cooling systems this summer. An improper mix of coolant and antifreeze (as well as build-up of winter dirt, rust and sediment) will cause a car to break down. The engine will stall and the drive belts will loosen. This will make traveling impossible, ruining any hopes of fun in the sun.

Visit Key West Ford’s service department for all cooling system checkups. Let us flush the mechanics, as well as create balanced concentrations. We’ll even examine clamps, belts and hoses to make sure that they’re in proper working order. We’ll provide a full inspection for every driver on-the-go.

Contact Key West Ford for more summer maintenance tips and service options.

Key West Ford Urges Drivers To Share The Road This Summer

It’s also a time for drivers to be aware of each other.

Key West Ford reminds our customers to share the road this season. Understand that pick-up lovers, RV enthusiasts, motorcycle fans and more will be setting out on their vacations. Cyclists and hikers may also take to the streets. It’s important to be aware of all surroundings, therefore, and to provide enough space for all travelers.

Use these suggestions to share the road and improve conditions for everyone.

  • Maintain visibility at all times.

  • Avoid sudden turns or swerves.

  • Pass slowly.

  • Avoid using cellphones, tablets or other distracting devices while driving.

  • Maintain a safe distance between all vehicles (including cars, trucks and cycles).

Remember these suggestions this summer to create a safe traveling environment.

Key West Ford Reminds Drivers To Check Their Belts And Hoses

Tags:
(Posted on Jun 13, 2014 at 07:03AM by Lee Byard)

summer car maintenance bcKey West Ford has already warned drivers about the dangers of winter. Falling temperatures can damage cars, especially unprotected belts and hoses. The constant batter of snow, sleet and ice can leave these components cracked.

Drivers should also be aware, however, that the summer sun can do the same.

Hot days wreak havoc on cars. Rising temperatures cause belts and hoses to weaken, loosening their casings and exposing threads. Glazing and fraying also occur, with these items quickly falling apart as the months continue.

Belts and hoses also experience greater wear in the summer. Air and fluid intakes increase as drivers try to combat the heat, and constant usage lowers structural integrity.

It’s important, therefore, to regularly check belts and hoses. Visit Key West Ford’s service department to receive a full summer inspection, as well as to find replacement parts if necessary.

Start the summer off properly. Maintain all belts and hoses.
