In 2012 Ford launched its C-Max Energi, introducing drivers to superior economy. The car - which blended lithium-ion power, regenerative braking and an electric drivetrain - promised best-in-class performance and became a steady force on the sales chart.
It’s no surprise, therefore, that Ford recently updated it Energi platform. According to The New York Times, this 2015 C-Max variant now features:
Mileage (Gasoline): 38 MPG.
Mileage (Electric)) 88 MPG.
Battery Pack: 7.6-kilowatt lithium-ion battery.
Electric Motor: 88-kilowatt motor.
Type: Plug-in hybrid hatchback.
The Energi proves itself to be a strong contender on the hybrid market, delivering comparable results to the Toyota Prius and the Chevrolet Bolt.
