Michael is phenomenal! Right from the start, he was upfront and transparent with us. Did not mislead us or make false promises like our previous experiences at other dealerships. He helped us feel at ease and was so friendly. He told us exactly what we were getting and that is, exactly what we got. We could not have been any happier. We walked in to key West Ford unsure if we would even be financed and at a rate that we were comfortable with. These guys, Michael and the finance manager Nick, worked tirelessly to get us what we wanted. Jumping through hoops trying to find us the best deal. I truly did not believe we would drive off their lot in a brand new vehicle. But they were miracle workers and they made it happen!! Thank you so much for everything! I highly recommend Jag at Key West Ford to assist you in your pursuit of a new /used car. He is great to work with or chat about a vehicle. He is very calm and upfront and doesn't pressure you at all...even though we took up his whole afternoon...till closing. I initially began my research of what type of Mustang convertible I wanted to purchase buy looking at the adds online and reading reviews about what was good and what was not. I decided to do the online build at Ford online and then made the mistake of inputting my personnel info at the end, to see an internet price from a local dealer. That mistake resulted in a lot of phone calls form a un-named dealer...which I ignored...as I already made up my mind that I wanted to only deal with Key West Ford...based on the top notch reviews they had already received over the past while. Lesson learned...Don't input your info unless you are prepared to speak to someone that will phone you about making an appointment to buy a car. After reading many of the customer write ups from Jag's reviews, I decided he was the one I wanted to deal with. To make a long story short, the day I went to Key West Ford, Jag was already on the lot as I approached the Mustang section and I found him right away...I recognized him from his picture from this site. After talking with him for a while, he was quite helpful in test driving a number of different Stangs, the GT was the winner...a given if you know Stangs. He was a great help with my pursuit of the Stang convertible I wanted...a 2013 Mustang GT premium convertible with Navigation. After deciding what Stang I wanted, we did the paperwork and haggled a price for my trade in...an older eclipse convertible. I didn't get the trade in price I had hoped for, but since I didn't want the hassle of selling my car privately + have to keep insurance on it + pay for parking/storage fees, (all which I have already done in the past when I purchased my present car) I accepted a lower trade in price after some thinking and completed the purchase. All in all, I highly recommend Jag and Key West Ford if you are in the market for a car...or Stang!!! They are very professional, very friendly and you will feel at ease.

BE INFORMED

When it comes to buying or leasing a vehicle, the options can be confusing.  To help you make an informed decision, we have provided the information below.  We hope you find it informatiive and useful.


When you buy a new or used vehicle, you pay for the entire cost of the vehicle including taxes.  When you lease a new or used vehicle, you pay for only a portion of the vehicle's cost, which is the part you use during the time you are driving it.

BUYING

Who Owns It?
Whether you pay for the car with cash, or finance it and make monthly payments, either way it's yours.  Of course, if you are financing it, you'll have to meet the obligations that the lender requires such as a certain down payment amount and timely monthly payments.  If you don't, they have the right to repossess it.

Up-Front Costs
If you are financing it, the bank will probably request a down payment.  You can also trade-in another vehicle and use any equity towards your down payment.  The amount of the down payment is usually based on the lender's requirements and your credit score.

Future Values
You vehicle will be worth whatever you can sell it for in the future and that depends on how well you maintain it.  (Be smart and protect your investment with regular scheduled maintenance by a factory-authorized facility)

End of Payments
Once you have paid off what you owe on your contract, that's it.  Your vehicle is 100% yours.  The lending institution will send you a Lien Release as proof that the vehicles is completely paid off and all yours.

LEASING


Who Owns It?
You do not own the vehicle when you lease.  You're paying for the use of the vehicle, but the finance institution that you leased it through actually owns it.  This is usually why you pay less per month in a lease than if you were to buy the car.

Up-Front Costs
Leases often do not require any type of down payment.  All you usually have to pay is the first month's payment, a security deposit, the acquisition fee and other fees.

Future Values
In most leases, you don't end up owning it so you don't end up selling it.  That's the financial institution's job.  Although you may have mileage limits and wear & tear guidelines that, if you don't exceed them, could cost you extra money when you turn your vehicle back in.

End of Payments
Most people return the vehicle at the end of the lease term.  But some like to purchase it during their lease or at the end.  Others like to trade it in before their lease is over.  Just ask us about these different options before signing any paperwork and we'll make sure you have your lease set up the way you want it.
