The Tour de Coast - a 900 kilometer trek across the Lower Mainland, with over 30 constables and emergency personnel professionals cycling through Whistler, Pemberton and more - has ended. This extraordinary journey has helped to promote the impact of pediatric cancer, and it also provided a forum for research development and donations.
And Key West Ford is proud to have participated in it.
Our connection to the Tour de Coast (which was the second segment of Cops For Cancer, an annual event that challenges local officers to cycle throughout British Columbia in exchange for donations) was through Constable Jeff Russell. He was trying to raise $6,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
We’re happy to report that Constable Russell has reached his goal - and surpassed it!
As of September 26th he has earned $6,275.50! This is a laudable amount, with every dollar applied to research and family care. Key West Ford reminds our customers that the Cops For Cancer event is not yet over, however, and there is still time to donate.
Join us in supporting Constable Russell by visiting his official Cops For Cancer page. Become part of his team and fight against pediatric illness.
Be sure to visit our Splash Page as well to learn more about upcoming tours and donation opportunities.
Together we can fund research and provide a better future for all children.

September is a month of cool breezes, changing landscapes and Key West Ford promotions!
Throughout the weeks our dealership will host a series of events and sales - and we want you to attend them all! Get your calendars ready and slip on your driving gloves.
Constable Jeff Russell’s Tour de Coast begins on September 17th. During this segment of the Cops For Cancer event he’ll weave along the Sunshine Coast, covering a grueling 900 kilometers in less than two weeks. Every pedal will earn donations for the Canadian Cancer Society and bring greater awareness to the cause. Key West Ford is a proud supporter of Constable Russell.
The 2014 Hyack Homecoming begins on September 19th, with Key West Ford sponsoring an exclusive celebration at Mercer Field. Expect football, food and family fun.
The Drive One event for the Girl Guides of Canada begins on September 20th. Key West Ford will provide exceptional cars (like the Fusion, Focus and Mustang) for our customers to test; and this will, in turn, raise up to $6,000 for the Guides.
The Employee Pricing event ends on September 30th. Key West Ford reminds all drivers to take advantage of the drastic discounts before it’s too late!
Key West Ford has a full month ahead. We hope all of you will join us as we celebrate in September!

Key West Ford understands the importance of community. This is why we’re launching a new Cops For Cancer campaign and encouraging all of our staffers to participate.
For every dollar our team donates to Cops For Cancer, Key West Ford will match it. We do this to not only show support for a worthy cause, but also to encourage our employees to become involved with their community. This is a local event, centered in BC, and we want to inspire awareness for it.
Key West Ford hopes that our donations will help to fund a better tomorrow for all children. We also hope that our customers will join us in this endeavor.

On August 29th Dick Crompton was arrested! Key West Ford’s beloved Manager of Special Projects was taken away in handcuffs - all in the name of cancer research.
Crompton, along with the rest of the Key West Ford staff, has joined Cops For Cancer. He good-naturedly allowed himself to be taken away to draw attention to pediatric research and earn donations for both his bail and the cause.
Now, we’re thrilled to report that he has returned: thanks to an outpouring of donations from New Westminster citizens.
An astounding $1520.00 was raised on behalf of the Cops For Cancer cause! This money will prove vital, helping to fund pediatric trials and comprehensive case studies. It will also help to promote a better future for all children.
Key West Ford is deeply humbled - and eternally grateful - to all who participated.
